本日は、その中のランプ時計についてお話致します。

Today, I'll talking about lamp clocks.

ランプ時計は、スペインのフェリペ２世が夜間の時間を知るために設置したのが最初とされています。単なる時刻計測だけではなく、夜間の生活において重要な役割を果たしています。

The first lamp clock was installed by King Philip II of Spain to tell the time at night. It is not only measures the time but also an important role in nighttime life.

使用方法は、油を入れた容器に目盛りを付け、燃焼によって減少する油の量で時間を計測します。

A lamp clock measures time by measuring the amount of lost oil through burning a container of oil with a scale.

燃焼速度が安定している油を使用することで、より正確な時間を計測できます。

Using oil with a stable burning rate allows for more accurate time measurement.
