本日は、砂時計の続きについてお話致します。

一般で使用されている砂時計は、キッチンタイマーや学習用に主に用いられていました。計測時間が1分、3分、5分、10分、15分等あります。

Commonly used sand clocks are mainly used as kitchen timers or for educational purposes. They measure time in 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 minutes, etc.

部屋の装飾として用いるような大きな砂時計や小さい砂時計もあります。

教育では、科学の時間で物理現象を視覚的に示すために使用されることもあります。

アーティストが時間を芸術作品として表現した砂時計もあります。

使用されている砂は、天然の砂、微細な金属粉やガラスビーズ等があります。

このように多種多様な砂時計が存在しています。
